Following the European Directive ( 2002/91/EC ) and national legislation (Legislative Decree no . 192/2005 and 311 /2006) , it is mandatory that, from 1 July 2009, all real estate contracts must be accompanied by a “certification of energy or energy efficiency of the building,” that the document certifying the energy performance , ie, the annual amount of energy consumed or expected .
